Dorothy J. Gray, 65, of Harpers Ferry, WV died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at her residence Under the Care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

She was born March 3, 1947 in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Edward Ralston Weister and Ruby Mae McGrew Weister.

Mrs. Gray was a Loving Homemaker, Mother and Grandmother.

She was of the Methodist Faith.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1028, Charles Town, WV.

She is survived by her children, Timothy Gray and partner Leeor, Harpers Ferry, WV, Angela Denise Shanton and husband Steve, Thurmont, MD, David Gray and wife Anna, Kearneysville, WV, Gary Gray and wife Mary K., Ranson, WV, Angela Beth Federline and husband Tim, Clear Spring, MD and Raymond Shearer, Winchester, VA; 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Susie Doss, Sandra Myers and Donna Fleming; brother, John Weister.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Vernon Gray who died March 10, 2003; daughter, Susan Shearer, son, Mark McCarty; sisters, Sallie McCarty, Hilda Dunn and Laura Knotts; brothers, William Ireland, Albert Weister, Joseph Weister and James Weister.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, WV with Dr. Henry Christie officiating.

Interment at the Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, WV.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
