Doris M. Stotler

Doris M. Stotler, 86, of Charles Town, WV formerly of Bolivar, WV died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Willow Tree Manor, Charles Town, WV.

She was born May 29, 1927 in Jefferson County, WV. She was the daughter of Richard H. Rutherford and Emma Ballenger Rutherford.

Mrs. Stotler retired from the Cliffside Restaurant as a Pastry Chef. Also, she was a Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Homemaker.

She was of the Lutheran Faith.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda D. Barr and husband J.B., Charles Town, WV, Teresa S. Lilla, Harpers Ferry, WV, son, Daniel “Danny” Stotler and wife Chris, Ranson, WV; step-sons, Charles “Bunny” Stotler and wife Kay, Penna., Larry R. Stotler and wife Jean, Williamsport, Md.; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a very close family friend, Dexter Jackson.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles L. Stotler who died May 29, 2006; son-in-law, Vince Lilla; five sisters, Olive Hardy, Corraine Rutherford, Gladys Lloyd, Hazel Everhart and Mary R. Fadeley; five brothers, Thomas Rutherford, Gilbert Rutherford, Robert Rutherford, Ralph Rutherford and Marcus J. Rutherford.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, WV with Dr. Henry Christie officiating.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Bolivar, WV.

Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
