Larry D. Wilt

Larry D. Wilt, 65, of Ranson, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Winchester, Va., Medical Center.

Born April 28, 1946, in Mannings, he was the son of Everett Wilt and Myrtle Eliza (Ott) Wilt.

Mr. Wilt was property manager for MATAN, of Frederick, Md.

He was of the Protestant faith.

Larry was a graduate of Charles Town High School, class of 1964; and of Monroe Business College. He was a member of AARP.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patsy Gail (Curry) Wilt, at home; sons, Walter "Patrick" Wilt and Kimberly, of Ranson and Bradley D. Wilt and wife, Kelly, of Kearneysville; grandchildren, Gracey Wilt, Rachael Wilt, Amy Wilt and Logan Wilt; four brothers, Everett Ronald Wilt, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., David C. Wilt and wife, Susan, of Ranson, Thomas E. Wilt and wife, Faylee, of Charles Town and Sterling G. Wilt and wife, Bobbie, of Charles Town; dear friend and caregiver to Patsy, Kathleen Berry; Cherokee Wilt, mother of Rachael and Amy; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Doris Nicewarner and Iva Maxine Wilt; and two infant brothers.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at Asbury United Methodist Church,110 West North Street, Charles Town,WV 25414 with the Rev. Charles Henry officiating. Interment will be at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, 310 South Fairfax Blvd.,Ranson, WV 25438.
